  1. Install SharePlex on both the source and target systems.
  2. Make adjustments to the SharePlex configuration file if needed.
  3. On the target system, stop SharePlex posting.
  4. On the source system start SharePlex replication.
  5. Check for any long-running transactions.
  6. Stop the Oracle Streams apply processes and run SharePlex reconcile.
  7. Temporarily disable foreign key constraints with the delete cascade option.
  8. Start SharePlex posting on the target system.
  9. Monitor SharePlex for possible out-of-sync events. Use SharePlex Compare and Repair utility for pre and post audit/verification of cutover from Streams to SharePlex.
  10. Enable previous disabled foreign key constraints and shut down/remove the Oracle Streams processes.
